Easier then you might think. On a daily basis, we see advertisements about “illnesses,” “dis-eases”, and other maladies, that there is “NO CURE” for at this time. This is also in magazines, newspapers, at our doctors offices (yes there is a time and place for doctors, and as all health practices, they are a necessity), billboards, running adds on buildings, all manner of professional people, and out of the mouths of people all over our country. Negativity is delivered many ways, on many levels, with and without words.
Some of the ways that negativity is delivered into our lives is easier then you think. First, you listen to it and take it too heart. You believe it because someone you trust or love, or both, tells you, shows you, or acts in a way that is negative. This is excused as the way they are as a person, BUT, you buy it as truth. Magazines, newspapers, talk shows, and many other forms of communication bring this negativity into our lives. No, you don’t have to avoid all these amusements, just be aware and guard against that influence on you daily.
Here are some of the ways that negativity is delivered to people on a daily basis. Advertisements: There is no cure for (fill in the blank), but this will help you deal with it. Or your neighbor, friend, loved one, the stranger on the street , says, “You can’t fight city hall. My vote doesn’t make a difference, I’m one person, what can I do to change anything?” A few other ways of putting out negativity are: “Thats not possible for me to do. It’s beyond my ability. I’m hard pressed to make it through one day. I’m old. I’m young. I’m sick. I’m tired, I’m weak. I’m a woman. I’m a man. I’m a mother or father, grandparent , aunt , uncle, etc. I work a lot. I don’t have the time.”
Some are true, and you might feel that way on days; however, think of this: IF you really wanted something badly enough, would you not work hard to obtain it? So, what about the best life you deserve and want? If you do nothing, it says, “I’m afraid,” regardless of the words you use. Tired, non-involvement, not my business, whatever words you put to it, you still FEAR the change that you can yet won’t do because it’s an unknown factor, this change.
Wake up people!!!! If you want a world different then it is, then I suggest you start changing it today!
How do you do it, you ask? You do it one second at a time, one hour at a time, one day at a time, one smile at a time, one hug at a time, one hand shake, one helping hand, one “I love you” without conditions, one forgiveness, and laughter in abundance. See only good coming to you, see only good going from you, daily, and find the time daily to have gratitude for the lessons, the people, the love and all other things in your life.
Also, remember to forgive. First yourself, in things you feel you could have done better. Do better next time! You cannot change what is past; however, you can change today and tomorrow. Forgiving someone that has hurt you in some way, does not mean you have to embrace them in your life, if that is not a healthy, wholesome thing to do for you, yet forgiveness is a necessary thing for you to be healthy in mind, body, spirit and emotions. By forgiveness of self and others, you are letting go of the energy of anger, hate, fear, loathing, indignation and pain, for it no longer serves you, nor is it healthy for you to keep that energy.
No one can change your world. That is your job. Can they add happiness to it, can they bring laughter and smiles and tears of joy? Yes! But they do not change your world or give you the happiness you want. You possess that within. When you find that connection to Source, to the higher power in life, you find your happiness by accepting that you are a holy being and deserve all good things on all levels, abundantly.
Open freely to love, give love freely, unconditionally, without accepting negative energy from anything or anyone else. Be spiritual. Renew yourself in meditation/prayer, connection to the Source. Know that you are holy, that you are a reflection of all that is good and enlightened. And remember: NO ONE ever walks alone. EVER!!
